An Explanation of Al-Adab Al-Mufrad. Imam Al-Bukhari’s Masterpiece On Good Conduct. Season One: the Rights of the Parents.
Recorded over 34 episodes, each approximately 50 minutes along, the first 24 chapters of al-Adab al-Mufrad are covered in detail. Imam al-Bukhari (radyAllahu ‘anhu) included 46 narrations in these first chapters which he devoted to the Parents, the most important people in our own lives that we must show good Adab to. Ustadh Abu Eesa expounds upon not only the meaning and wisdom of these narrations but relates them to the complex nature of our relationships with our parents in these modern times, all in an easy and effective manner that has lead to the incredible success of this series amongst the many students who were fortunate enough to attend these sessions when it was recorded live in Manchester, England in 2006, as well as the larger television audience when selected portions were later televised. Moreover, the narrations are examined in detail to derive various fiqhi and spiritual secrets that provide benefit in other areas outside the remit of just Adab. For the more serious student, a detailed study of the chains of narrations as well as fascinating insights into the biographies of the narrators is provided.
